Teaching a Dog to Burn, Washed's debut double length LP, is a collection of songs spanning the band's first year. Released under Dead Mothers Collective, it attempts to capture all the beautiful moments between friends. It is as existential as it is heavy and heartbreaking. It's built on themes of trust, revenge, suicide, womanhood, and loss, but is mostly designed to ask that question: is it all worth it in the end? Sprinkled throughout the record are home recordings of the band and other friends.
