The Winter Queen

The title of this album comes from a 1904 children's poem by Lucy Fitch Perkins:
"Oh, have you seen the Winter Queen
In her robe of filmy lace
With her shining crown and her cloak of down
And her gentle dreaming face?"

The album:
I wanted to recreate the winter-time of my childhood - all sledding and toy soldiers, and bare trees against snowy white hills.

The sound: gentle and dreamy - like the queen herself.
Instrumentation includes harps and guitars, winds, solo and ensemble voices, sound effects

- happy holidays and remember the Solstice is December 21st - when light returns.
