And You, Oh Trees So Lofty

The eight tracks from "And You, Oh Trees So Lofty” are inspired by the rich natural and cultural heritage of Albania and Kosova. The songs are made with virtual modular synthesizers, and historic and field recordings that vary from shepherds and sheep wandering over stony mountains to communist-era news reels. The generated soundscapes evoke feelings of longing, mystery, and nostalgia. The album title is taken from the Albanian poem “Cattle and Crops” , written by the 19th century Albanian renaissance poet Naim Frashëri, whose poem celebrates Albania's pastoral life and cultural traditions.
