The motivating idea behind the songs was "gentle music made during a very rough time" - I started writing & recording this album at the beginning of lockdowns stateside, March 2020. The arrangements are Baroque/chamber pop, heavy on countermelody, and with a palette of Mellotron, theremin, synths, organs, etc.
