# GetMusic

> GetMusic is a music promotion platform that automates Bandcamp download code distribution for independent artists and labels. Artists upload Bandcamp download codes; fans browse releases and claim a code in one click. Codes are marked used so they can't be redeemed twice. Founded 2023 in Brooklyn, NY by Chuck Blake.

GetMusic is built around five core ideas: codes are the product, releases are the unit of discovery, artists submit and manage their own catalog, fans discover new music by genre and curation, and the whole system runs on a public catalog with an open RSS and JSON API.
