We have been using GetMusic.fm for some time, and it has been doing wonders for us. The best way to share your releases with a new audience and get new followers is on the Bandcamp page. It is straightforward to use, and the first upload of download codes will be free.
GetMusic was a game-changer for my single "Hide & Seek." In a crowded scene, getting your signal out is a constant battle. The campaign cut through the noise and put the track directly in front of an audience that was actually wired to listen. I saw a real, measurable spike in both streams and, more importantly, new followers that have stuck around. It's a solid tool for anyone serious about getting their work to connect.
I honestly cannot remember how I functioned as an indie artist without GetMusic. In fact, the site does so much of the work for me, I've actually let my other promotional activities slide! For a long time I was a "Free" or "Pay What You Want" artist, but had little traction. Even though listeners getting codes through GetMusic is still technically free, there's a psychological reward when cashing tokens for music you'd normally pay for. Just by offering codes through GetMusic, my listeners have grown by 70% or more. Along with providing links to song downloads, GetMusic is constantly popping up on the socials with graphics of new releases, either solo or grouped with other new tracks. I myself am often drawn to new music thanks to these arresting graphics. GetMusic's stats are also great for reposting and reminding listeners of your newest tracks or albums. Along with Bandcamp, GetMusic is an essential tool for the indie artist.
I used GetMusic to build the Bandcamp fanbase a bit in advance of my next album release. I made 100 codes available and shared this across X and FB groups. All codes were gone in under a week, I sold more physical copies in a day than ever before and grew the fan base. Win!
It seems counterintuitive, but my sales have increased 12% since starting with GetMusic, which suggests that many music fans swap out their digital copies for physical formats.
This site is cool. It just has Bandcamp download codes for tons of new albums that bands upload themselves. It's great for finding new songs, getting valid codes, and building up a Bandcamp if you're an artist.
Chuck and GetMusic are a phenomenal force in exercising a community of passionate artists fuelling what needs to happen in today’s music industry.
GetMusic.fm is a super useful way to get new people engaged in your music on Bandcamp!
@GetMusicfm is the reason why I discovered this community. Not only are they getting music out there and visible, they are bringing people together!
