The Impossible Years
A Good Past Deserves Repeating and Living Through The Impossible Years (2CD double album)

The Impossible Years are Todd Shuster's (whom fans may know more recently from the superlative Cherry Fez albums that the Subjangle label released in 2023) previous late 70s and 80s band.

As the title of the first album of this double album CD, "A Good Past Deserves Repeating," suggests, this double album release showcases the majority of their back catalogue, which was primarily released on their own TIY Records label and then as the first act signed to Daniel Treacy's Dreamworld label, and also features a wealth of previously unreleased material.

CD1 ("A Good Past Deserves Repeating") features all previously unreleased tracks from their archives, while Living Through the Impossible Years features three songs from Tony Marsico's (Matthew Sweet, Cruzados, Bob Dylan, etc.) studio session, as well as Fined For Being Born, Denise, and the original version of She’s No Fun have never been available, as well asLove Me A Kiss and the 4-track demos of The Girl I Always Seem To Get and Lovely/Lonely.

Heaving with all that was so powerful and wonderful about the college rock-meets-power pop energy of the era and drifting close to garage rock on occasions, these two albums offer a glimpse of a golden age via a long-lost 'golden act'.
