On a late spring/early summer night in 2005, Brian Kious and Kevin Hartman took the stage at St. Louis’ venerable indie music venue, Off Broadway, to play a set of their brand of rustic Americana tunes. Having reunited full time almost 20 years later, it is now time to bring that evening’s set to the rest of the world. Brian and Kevin come to music steeped in the ambient recordings of Louis Armstrong and his Hot Five, as well as the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Phish, R.E.M., and Tom Waits. These original songs are as much an homage to their influences as they are to rural Missouri.
